Liquid Germall PLUS is a broad-spectrum preservative system used in cosmetics and personal care formulations to protect against bacteria, yeast, and mold. It is a synergistic blend of Propylene Glycol (CAS: 57-55-6), Diazolidinyl Urea (CAS: 78491-02-8), and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate (CAS: 55406-53-6).
This liquid preservative is effective at low concentrations and works across a wide pH range of approximately 3–8.
It is commonly used in creams, lotions, shampoos, and other water-based formulations due to its excellent compatibility.
The system provides strong antimicrobial protection while being easy to incorporate during the cool-down phase of formulation.
Typical usage levels range from 0.1% to 0.5%, ensuring safe and efficient preservation in finished products.
